The Game

People just want to survive in this country, so they do what is necessary, they turn gullible.

Do you blame them? I do not tbh. The country is hard, the economy is in hell, an average person is finding it difficult feeding 3 times a day not to talk of the people with nothing and no one to run to. I hear people talk about orientation, bringing those from the grassroots to tell them to stop voting for. these men because of rice and crayfish.

Mama Nkiru says, “I go vote am. e better make I collect 2 cups of rice and 1 tin Gino tomato take use chop jollof this night than make me and all my pikin die”. They do not care about tomorrow, they just want to live today.

Orientation? While teaching them what is right to do, hope you are backing it up with actions, because Matthew that just finished carrying block at the site doesn’t want to hear all your long story, he’s probably thinking of where to get N300 to buy bread and N200 to buy coke. I hope you talk to them whilst they munch on that moi moi and malt you got them, I hope they have their bagco bags filled with garri, packs of maggi, packets of salt etc.

You’d need to do more than talk to them because the more you talk in this country, the less you’re heard. They love to see things manifesting immediately hence the plenty plenty unfulfilled promises.

Honestly, it is hard for everyone but we need to start playing the players. It’s a game as everyone can see so let’s stop thinking it’s black and white and actually start playing the game.
